Filmmaker

O NEGATIVE, McCarthy's first film, had its premiere  in 2015 at the Toronto International Film Festival and has played at festivals all over North America including Palm Springs Shortfest, RiverRun, Whistler, Cleveland, and Portland International. It was named by TIFF as one of Canada’s Top Ten Short Films of 2015. It is now on vimeo as a STAFF PICK.

His second outing as a director, "From across the street and through two sets of windows" premiered at Vancouver VIFF in 2018. 2019 saw the completion of his third short, and second as writer/director, Dis/Cogntion.

Stuff Happens

Using their own childhood memories of the September 11 attacks as a basis to create choral movement, a cast of 26 young people transformed David Hare's history play about the lead-up to the Iraq War, into a nightmarish meditation on the power of fear.

Boblo
